Story

St Mary's Bell Tower Appeal

We need your help to ensure the bells of St Mary's, Horsell are not to fall silent after 300 years of ringing out to celebrate national events, festivals, weddings and calls to worship. Please DONATE TODAY.

New access into the bell ringing chamber is urgently required as the wooden vertical ladder into the bell tower, fails to meet current health and safety requirements.

Please help us create new access via the bell tower staircase by making a donation. This will improve safety, help in the recruitment of bell ringers, improve access for visiting ringers, and allow the local community (including school groups) to learn more about historic church bells.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to St Mary's and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please support this worthwhile cause and make a donation today. With your help we can keep the bells ringing. Thank you for supporting us.

About the charity

St Mary's (CofE) is the parish church for the Surrey village of Horsell. After 300 years of ringing, the church bells will need to fall silent unless funds can be raised to provide alternative access into the bell ringing chamber as the current vertical ladder now fails health and safety standards.
