Story
Angel & Clown
Angel and Clown were brought in to the centre from our Everton Cat Watch Team. The two tiny kittens were found in a bin cupboard on an estate that is about to be demolished! All residents had already been moved out of the estate, but one kind lady had been going back to feed the feral cat that had been living in the area. The lady had asked our Cat Watch Team for help with this cat by trapping her, neutering her and then relocating her to an alternative safe site before the demolition started. Whilst the Cat Watch Team were at the site setting traps, they came across these two kittens, huddled up together at the back of the bin cupboard.
They took the kittens straight to our vets for a full examination, where the vet aged them at approx. 6 to 7 weeks old and discovered they are both little boys. Clown, the little black kitten was covered in fleas and was a little underweight but otherwise ok, Angel however wasn’t as lucky. Angel was also suffering from fleas and was underweight, but he also had a bad eye. The vet isn’t sure if Angel’s eye is a congenital defect or whether he has injured it but either way the eye cannot be saved and will need to be removed. Unfortunately Angel currently only weighs 350 grams so ideally needs to gain some weight before he can have anaesthetic, but once he has put on enough weight he will be scheduled for his operation. Angel & Clown are now with one of the centres fosterers who will give them lots of TLC whilst we wait for Angel to gain weight.
