St Cuthbert's is steeped in history, the church being the oldest public building in Southport, and often regarded as the  "Mother Church of Southport". 

It may be an historic church, and its heritage is important, but so is the future.

The church family offers a very warm welcome to everyone to share in the good news of Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.  The Church is here for everyone whether for regular worship, occasional worship or even none at all.  The aim is to welcome everyone to share in the Church life, to be there to help celebrate weddings and baptisms and to offer support and comfort at times of bereavement.
