National Three Peaks Challenge · 26 April 2019

The Capital Appeal aims to raise £7.5 million to completely renovate Rowans Hospice. The project has been split into three phases and embraces every aspect of our services, to ensure we can care for people today, tomorrow and in the future.

Story

12 members of staff and 4 drivers from Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks Customer Contact Centre are taking part in the National Three Peaks Challenge. The challenge is famous for it's intensity, where participants face 3 of the UK's tallest mountains; Ben Nevis, Snowdon, and Scafell Peak, in just 24 hours!

The total walking distance is 23 miles (37km) and the total ascent is 3064 metres (10,052ft) - that's more than half the ascent of Kilimanjaro!

We're raising money for the Rowans Silver Jubilee Appeal  that aims to raise £7.5 million to completely renovate Rowans Hospice. Our ambitious project will create a hospice that continues to offer a place for tranquility and sanctuary, and will allow our care to continue and progress for the next 25 years.
