Hello Friends and Family!
Prasad and I are running our first half marathon in San Francisco in July, 2022. We are training with Bay Area Run for India (BARFI), a running and fundraising program organized by the Association for India's Development (AID).

AID drives numerous projects in partnership with grass root communities in India on wide ranging issues related to Agriculture, Education, Public Health, Community Empowerment and Environmental Justice. AID looks to address the underlying cause, rather than respond to symptoms and their volunteers actively monitor projects by visiting them, deepening their understanding and building a relationship with impacted communities.

We strongly believe that literacy and quality education instills curiosity, promotes critical thinking and expands our perspectives on social, economic and environmental issues. It is a light that guides us in making right choices at every step of life. We realize how fortunate we are and that not everyone has access to even primary education. 10 million children age 5-14 are in the workforce, 40 million girls are married before age 15.
