Story
Over recent years we've noticed a trend for charity events that sound like a holiday. Climbing Kilimanjaro, trekking across Peru and skydiving are all well and good but as far as we're concerned there's far too much enjoyment in there. If you're going to ask for sponsorship you have to do something grim and unwelcoming, therefore we came up with the idea of walking 30 miles from Leeds to Rotherham (via the badlands of Barnsley) in the middle of October.
Departing Elland Road at 7.30am on Friday October 17th, we will walk throughout the day, arriving at The New York Stadium in time for kick off.
Money for this walk is to be split between Leeds Children's Hospital and the Luey Jacob Sharp Foundation so please give to whichever charity currently has the smaller number of donations.
