Story

2017 was a bit of a year. Early in the year my close friend Lynne was unexpectedly and suddenly diagnosed with cancer.  She received excellent and speedy treatment and was soon recovering from surgery. Within days of Lynne being told she was cancer free my sister Jenny was also diagnosed with cancer. It was unexpected and a double whammy.

Jenny also received excellent care and treatment and thanks to the wonderful NHS was also cured. I am so grateful to cancer research and the NHS for keeping these wonderful women in my life.

Last year (2019) two of my dearest friends lost family members to incurable cancers. The devastation caused by this terrible disease is unimaginable until you are caught in the middle of it. I am humbled and respectful of everyone who has had to deal with any aspect of this disease regardless of outcome.

Hopefully the money we raise will go towards ensuring that in the future there will be more survivors so.....

Best foot forward Spuds!
