Rochester to Canterbury Pilgrimage: 9th – 11th September 2008
Three day sponsored walk from Rochester Cathedral to Canterbury Cathedral
I shall be setting off from Rochester Cathedral on the morning of Tuesday 9th September for a three day walk to Canterbury. I intend to follow the latter part of the route taken by Chaucer’s pilgrims; a journey encompassing several major cities and some smaller towns, villages and pubs! I am collecting sponsorship in aid of the MS Society, which funds essential research into this debilitating condition, as well as providing support to those who are affected by it.
Your sponsorship will be greatly appreciated.
The route will be as follows:
Day One
Start out at Rochester
Rainham area for lunch
Sittingbourne by evening
Day Two
Start out at Sittingbourne
Ospringe for lunch
Boughton-under-Blean by evening
Day Three
Start out at Boughton-Under-Blean
Canterbury by lunch
If you would like to take a more involved approach and accompany me for some or all of this walk, please contact me by email: sponsoredpilgrimage@googlemail.com so that I can furnish you with further information and sponsorship forms!
