Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

In June 2009 my life changed when I was given the chance to start a new treatment for diabetes.  After being on injections 4 times a day for over 20 years I was given the chance to try an insulin pump machine.

This has completely changed my life.  After years of strict diets and not being able to eat what I want and when I want until now.

As this treatment is expensive a group of us have decided to do a 12 mile sponsored bed push from The Newcastle Diabetes Centre to the Clayton Arms Pub in Dudley Tyne + Wear on Saturday 12 June 2010.
