Story
On Sunday 18th April 2010, I'm running the Chris Hoy Edinburgh Half Marathon, starting at Meadowbank Stadium along the picturesque Firth of Forth coastline towards a grandstand finish at Mussleburgh Stadium. The total distance is just over 13 miles (or 21km) and after months of training, I'm almost starting to feel ready.
Now, here comes the important bit...
I would like to invite you to sponsor me in aid of, my local charity, St Andrew's Hospice - Lanarkshire's only specialist hospice, which provides palliative care for terminally ill patients and is open to all, without distinction of race, gender, or creed.
St Andrew's Hospice's annual running costs are approximately £4.2million of which nearly £2.2million has to be raised each year from public donations, this is approximately £44,000 per week. So they need all the help they can get.
My thanks in advance - please donate as much as you can.
