We're 2 lads that are going to cycle 200 miles from Old Trafford (Manchester United FC) to Wembley Stadium), via Nuneaton Town FC.
This is a cycle challenge to raise funds for Women's Aid - a charity that works to end domestic abuse against women and children. The issue of domestic abuse is one that a member of the cycling team holds close. His Mother was subject to years of emotional, physical, and psychological abuse from a 'partner'. Broken bones, cuts, bruises, and blackmail are just some of the treatment undeservedly dealt to a loving, caring, and compassionate mother-of-two - all while her two children were forced to listen helplessly upstairs.
Fortunately, she is a survivor of this horrific abuse and period and has come out the other side a stronger woman. However, not all women and children who suffer this abuse are lucky enough to find a way out. Women's Aid is the national charity that works tirelessly to support those who suffer/have suffered domestic abuse, prevent it continuing, and raise awareness of the thousands of women and children that suffer with this abuse daily.
In support of our cycle challenge and, more importantly, Women's Aid we would be delighted if you would be kind enough to support our fundraising and donate to this fantastic charity and cause.
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
