Story

In the run up to International Women's Day, we are calling for teams of five brave individuals to take up the challenge of cycling at least 500 miles in one week, raising much-needed funds to help Smart Works clients transform their lives.

Smartworks is a charity that supports unemployed, disadvantaged women to get work through coaching and dressing.  53% of  clients have been unemployed for over a year, 23% have applied for over 20 jobs, 31% are from ethnic  minorities, 47% are lone parents and 19% have a disability. As a result of the service, 89% “get the clothes, get the confidence and get the job” and 97% leave feeling more confident they will succeed at their interview. It’s heartwarming to watch women’s lives being transformed.

Thank you for your support, any small amount to encourage us on our bikes is gratefully received.
