Story
I have completed my solo and unsupported circumnavigation of Africa covering 34 countries and covering 51 000 kms. With gift aid and offline donations I have so far raised 29 188 pounds I will be keeping the site open however and any further donations would be really appreciated. My exact route, daily progress, blog and photos can be followed on my independent website.(www.africa-bike-adventure.com). All sponsors and donations will be shown on the website, posters and press releases. As you can see on my site the actor Richard E Grant is the official patron of my fundraising expedition and there is a lot of interest from the media.I have already been on BBC TV and Radio and Lois Pryce ,adventurer and author has given her official support . I am proud to announce that Ted Simon, the legendary rider and writer also officially supports africa-bike-adventure.Prince Harry has also sent me a letter wishing me good luck so that adds extra royal pressure.I left at noon on Sunday the first of November from Biddenden High Street in Kent.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Save the Children gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.By the way for those who are interested I will be riding a Yamaha XT 660. Z Tenere(named after the desert in Niger).Wish me and (what will be) my very dusty contact lenses luck. No more lenses now thanks to Russell at Optimax!
Take it easy everybody-as the man said to the pygmy magistrate-small things were sent to judge us
Thank you for your support.
