Southampton YAC sponsored Knapathon · 25 June 2016

We bring together supporters and members to protect and promote British Archaeology.

Story

Southampton Young Archaeologists' Club is one of 74 branches around the UK that are run by volunteers (many of whom were once Young Archaeologists) on behalf of the Council for British Archaeology (CBA). The Club is for children ages 8 to 16 with an interest in archaeology and offers fun, messy and creative ways to engage with the past.

As you can imagine, running an organisation of this size takes a lot time, energy and money. Every year we fundraise to keep the club going; this year we are holding a sponsored flint knappathon for our Young Archaeologists. Please sponsor us!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The Council for British Archaeology is an educational charity, working throughout the UK to involve people in archaeology and to promote the appreciation and care of the historic environment. As a small independent organisation, we rely on funding and donations to continue our vital work.
