Race Across America (RAAM) is a 3000 mile ultra endurance race that can be done solo or in teams. The maximum time for completion is 9 days. It is dubbed as the hardest bike race in the world.

Story

South Liverpool Homes is delighted to have chosen Tom and James' Race Across America for Prevent Breast Cancer as our Charity of the Year for 2019/2020.

On Saturday 15 June 2019, former Prevent Breast Cancer employee Tom Allen and consultant breast surgeon James Harvey will begin Race Across America (RAAM). Billed as the world's toughest bicycle race, RAAM will see Tom and James ride a non-stop, 24-hour-a-day relay over 3,000 miles across the USA from Oceanside, California to Annapolis, Maryland. They have just nine days to complete this epic challenge.

Breast cancer has touched many people at SLH, either directly and indirectly, and we're committed to helping Tom and James smash their £125,000 target and in doing so, help the charity fund pioneering ways of preventing the disease.

We are all inspired by the monumental effort that Tom and James are preparing for and know that every pound raised for Prevent will be won through sweat and hard work out on the roads from Oceanside to Annapolis.

Smash it guys. You're incredible.
