Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page for SOS Children Villages.

The SOS Children’s village charity, founded in 1963, is the world’s largest orphan children charity, providing a safe and secure environment for children who have no one else to care for them. India is one of 124 countries in which SOS Children’s Villages cares for abandoned children in need. There are currently 35 such villages spread across the length of the country.

With your help and generosity, I would like to raise £25,000 (c.20 lakh rupees) to build a new educational facility in a rural Indian village in Bangalore. A learning centre, comprising of a library, music room and computer lab within the village premises, will provide children and mothers easy accessibility to new learning aids and facilitate computer literacy. These are both essential in steering the children towards fulfilling their goals and becoming self reliant.

Most of us have been privileged enough to have grown up within such an environment and have had access to these facilities. Please help us to make a real difference to these children’s lives by providing them with a wonderful opportunity to grow and learn.

Thank you in advance for your contribution and support.
