Story
Hello!
If you know me, you know that I have been a longtime supporter of Nacoa and the work they do to support children that are affected by a parent’s drinking whether it be through the charity events they do or the free helpline they have.
This is a charity that is especially close to my heart as my mother struggled with alcoholism for most of her life and until her death in 2010. If I had access to a charity like Nacoa when I was a child, it would have really helped me navigate a difficult period of my life and feel the support that I, and my mother, needed. Most importantly, I wouldn’t have felt so alone. I don’t want other children to feel how I did which is why I am so passionate about Nacoa.
For this reason, I’ve decided that I’ll be taking part in the Big Nacoa Drop in September - An abseil event like no other, where supporters will be dropping hundreds of feet from the tallest sculpture in the UK! (Not going to lie - I’m terrified!! But also excited!)
The UK government has cut ALL dedicated support for children of alcohol-dependant parents and this is why Nacoa is as important as ever and why I’m asking people to donate whatever they can to this worthwhile and important charity.

Thank you in advance for all donations!
