Story

Just to clarify, we are not a fit couple, professional runners, gym geeks, or weight watchers as such! We love fun, are lazy as hell, love takeaways while binge watching Netflix, love watching football and drinking till we are sick, the same as any of you!

It just started off at the end of March this year, on our holiday in Nice, we started running by the beach every morning cus the beach was absolutely beautiful! After a couple of runs we felt more content, complete, and confident! We carried on running after coming back to the UK and that led us here to signing up for a FULL LONDON MARATHON.

Every time we go for a run, doubt enters our minds as to whether we will be able to finish such a long distance, but we became different people to who we were when we started this journey. We are now halfway through training, adding 15 minutes to our runs each week, and now we can run a half marathon comfortably. So as long as we don't give up, we are certain that we can smash it (perhaps not very fast though... ha ha)

Why are we raising money for the NSPCC?

Between you and me, we applied for the charity Save the Children first and we were rejected!... ahaha

But that's not all, the NSPCC is a charity that Damian has been donating small amounts to every month for several years, and if we were to raise money for one of many great charities, without hesitation it has to be for helping children. We believe that the only way to make the world a better place is by making the children happy! We want "every child" to feel that whenever they need support, the NSPCC is there for them. Sometimes for a child who needs critical help to get out of domestic abuse, but sometimes for a girl that needs her four legged furry best friend to accompany her when moving into her new step-mum's house.

Very often kids (grown ups too) struggle to share their problems to family, teachers, or friends, as they don't want to upset someone they LOVE! That is where the NSPCC comes in. Every child needs to feel they are being listened to and it could be anyone, your children, your nephew & niece, or the child next door.

Thanks for reading all the way through to here! And showing your heart and support!

We will run with you till the end : )

Lots of LOVE, #TeamGraham
