Story
We all know about cancer most of us have seen it , felt it and are grieving because of it but we don’t all know about the heroic work of Macmillan Cancer Support… At Macmillan They Help Everyone With Cancer Live Life As Fully As They Can. Provide Physical, Emotional And Financial Support, Whatever It Takes. If You’re Diagnosed, Your Worries Are Their Worries. They Do Whatever It Takes. ...and Macmillan need help so we (Laura, Gemma, Mark, Bill, Roger, Soph , Chris and Emma) are doing a thing to raise awareness and money for them because we have all loved and lost someone to cancer. Most recently our brilliant friend Kirsty Bond. On NYE 2020 Kirsty died leaving behind her beloved husband , young children, parents and an army of friends. She was incredibly kind, loyal, loving and generous. She was clever, mischievous , a lot of fun and she loved bringing people together. So on 4th Sept we will come together with 2000 other people also remembering their loved ones. We will be doing a marathon over the Lakeland fells. Yep. You read that right . WE ARE HIKING A MARATHON (in one go) AND IT WILL BE VERY HILLY. Friends , if you can spare anything please do because the work of this charity really is heroic and if we (the most unlikely marathoners ever) manage to do this then so are we!
