Story
Running a marathon is something I've been interested in for a few years now! I'm so excited to have the opportunity to run for such a worthwhile charity, and one so close to my heart.
My personal experience with Macmillan nurses in December of last year, 2020, is something which I think is worth sharing. I will always be grateful for the care my mum received in the final days and weeks of her life.
I want to do my part in giving back and saying "Thank you" for all that you do and continue to do for so many loved ones and families.
Now, writing this, December 2021, this time of year brings about a lot of memories, good and bad. Cancer affects so many of us - I hope that one day nobody will have to lose a loved one to this awful disease or go through what my mum did.
Part of this, in honour of mum. I can't feel you with me, but your the fighter inside of me and always will be. Thank you for 16 years, angel x
