Story
The Sophie's Legacy team is proud to be supporting Prospect again this year.
The Sophie's Legacy 2010 challenge is a mountain triathlon. Last year it was a relatively flat 42.2Km around Rome, this year the stakes have been raised and the 40 athletes will complete over 50Km of rugged terrain in the Lake District. Find out more about the challenge and the teams at http://www.sophieslegacy.org/mountain-triathlon.
Sophie showed immense courage in her battle with cancer. Her constant desire to live her life was infectious. She made people look at themselves and understand that cancer does not mean that you stop living. She also taught all of us that we should make the most of every day and not get dragged down by the little inconveniences in life.
Sophie's Legacy is about raising money for cancer charities through inspiring events. Please show your support for the teams by making a donation. Be as generous as you can - your money will go directly to Prospect for them to extend their support for those sufferers at the end of their lives. Sophie realised before she died just what a precious gift it was to both herself and her family to have dignity and peace in her last days. Something that Prospect provides to hundreds every year.
A recent report suggests that 1 in every 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer by 2030 - that figure shows just how important the the work of Prospect is and will continue to be.
Thanks for your support
