Story
Running a marathon is a MASSIVE challenge for me. I am the wrong side of 40 have only been running a short amount of time, but I am determined to train hard and do myself proud. This will be my first ever marathon!
I am raising money in memory of Faith. Children with Cancer Charity help children and babies just like Faith.
In March last year the devastating news hit that Faith had a brain tumour. She was just 7 months old.
Faith’s tumour was called (AT/RT) which is a very rare, fast-growing aggressive tumour that begins in the brain and spinal cord. It usually occurs in children aged 3 years and younger, although it can occur in older children.
She went through numerous surgeries and chemotherapy, she had rounds and rounds of it, months of treatments, MRI, CT scans, feeding tubes, suctions, oxygen, cannulas, blood test, peg feeds you name it that baby went through it every day.
Faith’s chemotherapy didn’t work the tumour had come back and they decided to try a clinical trial from the USA, again the treatment didn’t work. Faith’s symptoms returned, the tumour had grown and 2 new ones appeared on her spine. She was put on end of life care.
She fought every single day and she gave everyone such love and joy in her short life.
She lost her fight and grew her Angel wings 15th November 2022 at just 15 months old 💔
My heart breaks for her family every day and I am going to run every step of the 26.2 miles for Faith 💕
