We are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in October in memory  of our wonderful Grandpa, Mike Vickars, who we sadly lost to a long battle with cancer in December 2020. We are forever grateful for The Royal Marsden's unwavering support, care and treatment throughout Grandpa's journey, which enabled his family to have that precious extra time spent with him. Growing up, I remember Grandpa attending and supporting every single running race I took part in, since he used to be a keen runner, so Leah and I will be running this half marathon in honour of our Grandpa, to celebrate his memory, legacy and life. 

The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world.
