Story
Welcome to my JustGiving page! If you're here to make a donation, I just want to say a huge thank you. It means so much and your donation will make an incredible difference to a great charity.
If you're here to find out why on earth I'm running the London Marathon (I'm asking myself the same thing), then you're also in the right place.
In 2008, I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, my family is not alone in this experience as pancreatic cancer has the lowest survival of all common cancers - with five-year survival less than 7%.
Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK) does amazing work in supporting people impacted by pancreatic cancer, conducting breakthrough research, and campaigning for faster diagnosis and treatment.
Fast forward to 2022 and, at the ripe old age of 25, I've decided to challenge myself to run the London Marathon in memory of my dad and to hopefully raise some game-changing money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
It's definitely going to be tough (anyone that knows me, knows I'm not a natural runner), but I know it'll be worth it.
So, if you can donate even a penny, thank you. You'll be making a huge difference:
£29 can fund research into a test, so PCUK can diagnose people earlier.
£60 can fund a nurse on the PCUK Support Line.
£91 can fund a research project.
