We inform, educate, inspire, and engage to help young people with epilepsy.

Story

Having been diagnosed with Jeavons Syndrome, one of the rarest forms of Epilepsy, at the age of 8, I've spent the last 18 years learning to live with my diagnosis. I don't tend to suffer from Grand Mal seizures, but instead, have daily eyelid myoclonias.

Jeavons Syndrome will be a life-long disease for me, that will have to be constantly controlled by medication. This is the reason that on 5 October 2019, I will be walking a 13-mile section of the Jubilee Greenway through London, to raise awareness of what is so often called the Invisible Disability.

On average, 1 child in every primary school and 5 in every secondary school has Epilepsy. Children with Epilepsy are also 4 times more likely to suffer Mental Health-related problems than their friends. Young Epilepsy provides incredible support to these children and their families. They create a support system that so many people might not have access to.

Thanks in advance for any donations or support for this brilliant charity xxx

Young Epilepsy is dedicated to standing up for children and young people with epilepsy. We’re here for them. But we need your support because epilepsy is limiting the chances of thousands of children today and may continue to do so for the rest of their lives. Together we create possible.
