Story
In October this year I am travelling to Zambia to work with the Restore Community. Cranleigh School has partnered with the charity since 2011. The charity partners with community schools in Zambia and aims to bring quality education and nutrition to some of the most vulnerable children in Zambia.
We will be visiting and working with Kawama Community School in Kitwe. Over the years, through the partnership and the generous support from the Cranleigh community, the charity has provided the building and maintenance of six classrooms, a toilet block and kitchen, and given nearly a 1000 children access to a high standard primary education.
So… I wanted to set myself a challenge and raise money for the charity that I’m about to visit. This fundraising is all for the charity and not to fund my trip.
Lake Bassenthwaite is one of the largest bodies of water in the Lake District at 4 miles long and 0.75 miles wide. In July (when hopefully it wont be freezing) I will swim the full length. From there i will then climb to the summit of Skiddaw which, at 3,054 ft, is the 6th highest mountain in England.
I want to set myself this challenge and hopefully raise as much money as I can before I go to Zambia to see the work that Restore Community does. I hope you can support me and any donation will make a difference.
Thank you
