Story
In November, after 2 years of waiting a team of 13 of us will be taking on the challenge of climbing Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest mountain. From base camp to summit and back will take us just 6 short days. The longest day will be summit day, well night, we start at midnight and will be walking for up to 15 hours that day.
After a slip up with my ACL injury during lock down, I have been working hard on the rehab, along with altitude training - whilst living in one of the flattest parts of the UK!
I am looking forward to getting to know the team and sharing stories of why we love this charity so much, along with all the incredible work they do, treating, caring some of Africa's most endangered wildlife.
Saving the Survivours is the charity we are all raising funds for.
Who are Saving the Suvirvors? Saving the Survivors are dedicated to treating and caring for endangered wildlife species. Our main focus is on rhino that have survived poaching attempts, but we also routinely work with cheetah, lion, leopard, African Wilddog, pangolin and elephant. Most of these animals are being treated in the bush in their natural environment, as transporting them is not always possible and is often extremely stressful. We work throughout Africa, but we also offer assistance to endangered species worldwide. With your donation you can directly help Saving the Survivors stop the suffering, heal the hurt and give these majestic and endangered survivors hope and a second chance at life. Please Gift Aid your donation if you are a current UK taxpayer. This gives us an additional 25p for every £1 donated at no additional cost to you and makes a huge difference to our fundraising. Thank you for your time and donations.
