Story
A little over a year ago, our nephew and cousin, Joel, was diagnosed with Leukaemia. This prognosis came following almost 18 months of acute pain and a frustrating misdiagnosis, which is sadly not uncommon for young people suffering with Blood Cancer.
Throughout the majority 2021 and 2022 Joel has had to endure significant, traumatic treatment including 5 months in hospital - several of which were spent alone on a high dependancy unit - during the pandemic, away from his partner Amy and their young daughter, Isla.
Thankfully, Joel is now slowly on the road to recovery, but if it wasn’t for the dedicated, continued support of his cancer treatment team, things could have had a far, far different outcome.
So we want to do what we can to raise a little bit of money to help ensure the valuable work Leukaemia UK do is able to continue and others like Joel never need to suffer like he did.
