Story
In 2021 I will be taking on the DARE challenge, sledding 240km across the Arctic Circle in 5 days. My challenge is in aid of Meningitis Research Foundation; a charity which aims to research and raise awareness of two serious diseases, Meningitis and Septicaemia.
Shockingly, meningitis and neonatal sepsis are the second biggest infectious killer of children under the age of five on the planet, affecting more than 5 million people every year! They can kill you within 12 hours and are responsible for more deaths of children under 5 than malaria, measles, tetanus and AIDS combined. Meningitis Research Foundations work is providing better access to vaccines, health systems that can diagnose and treat children, and support to survivors of meningitis.
The vision of the Meningitis Research Foundation is a world free of meningitis and septicaemia, where effective vaccination can protect everyone. In this world, people who do suffer from this disease can get the most effective diagnosis and treatment. Somewhere where the affected and their families can receive the best support and information.
Help us defeat meningitis by 2030!
So please, donate today by clicking the donate button, and share the link to your family and friends. Thank you so much!
