Story

On 31st May 2017 our hearts were broken as we were told the news that Katie Emma Rose, our daughter, sister, fiancé and friend would not survive the night after a bleed on her brain. She was 26 years old.

On Bank Holiday Monday, the 28th May at 12 noon, we are planning a sponsored walk with Kate’s dog, Goldie in Kate’s memory. We will begin with a prosecco, of course, at the Bay Horse, Kirk Deighton and walk the Deighton round which is about 1 hour and then back to the Bay for more prosecco!

Please bring your families and dogs and walk with the Rose and Leighton family. All proceeds will go to the Brain Research trust in the hope that other families may be spared such a devastating loss.

We’ll never shake away the pain

We close our eyes and Kate’s still here

We fool ourselves she’ll walk through the door

And although she’s faded from our view

She’ll still inspire us and be a part of everything we do

Love you Kate xxx
