I’m taking part in Red January by committing to exercising every day throughout January (not a big thing to some, but it is for me!), not just to lose those extra Christmas pounds but to improve my own mental wellbeing and promote the benefits of exercise for your mental health. As most of you know I’ve battled with my own mental health and now work for Mind BLMK I’m supporting others looking for support. So if you can spare £1, £5, £20 or any amount, then it would be very much appreciated!!
What is Red January?
RED January is a fun initiative that encourages you to support your own mental health by doing something active every single day.
This could be anything from swimming, running or walking to work, taking part in your favourite yoga class, chair based exercises, a kick about on the pitch, dancing, or even hula hooping! So whether you decide to walk, run, or jive your way through January for five minutes to 10k and beyond, there are no rules, just get active this January and join thousands of people around the UK will be kick-starting their 2019 in the most positive way!
