Although being the lucky recipient of a ballot place, it was important to me to complete this challenge whilst raising money for an excellent cause. Taking up a charity place, Duncan will be running with me and hopefully between us we will be able to raise a significant amount for our chosen charity WellChild.

WellChild is the national charity for sick children. It provides essential practical and emotional support for seriously ill children, young people and those who care for them across the UK to ensure they receive the best possible quality of care. More than 100,000 children and young people are living across the UK with serious health needs. Many spend months, even years, in hospital because there is no support enabling them to leave.

With a young family ourselves we realise how important it is to support and enable children to live a happy and full life.
