Story
On Sunday 2nd October I’ll be running London Marathon to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. I’m running for this charity to raise money and awareness and to remember my cousins Michael and Michelle Blackburn, who lost their lives to rare cancers aged 16 and 13 respectively.
It’s impossible to put into words the impact the death of a young person has on families, we have and will never be the same. But the work Teenage Cancer Trust do to support young people who may or may not grasp what is happening to them is nothing short of a miracle.
My family and I have previously taken part in sponsored walks for TCT, but I thought I’d try and raise more money by pushing my body to its limit. This will definitely be the most physically and maybe mentally challenging thing I’ve done, but when I think back to the strength my cousins had - it doesn’t compare.
If you can spare anything, even a couple of p’s it will go such a long way!
Thank you,
Soph
Ps. Love you both forever x
