Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page,

At 23 I was diagnosed with a brain tumour a grade 2 astrocytoma, at 27 it was back, I had an awake craniotomy and was diagnosed with a grade 3 anaplastic astrocytoma, I went through 6 weeks of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy and then went on to have 8 months of chemotherapy, on round 8 I had an allergic reaction to the TMZ chemotherapy I was taking and was taken off it, I was told at the next appointment there were no further treatments for me to try,, I want to try and raise money to find more treatments not for myself but for people in the future that find their selves in this unfortunate position,

Me and my sister in law are taking on Snowdonia on the 16th October, it may not sound a lot to some but for us it’s a lot!! We understand it states September but it may take us a little longer to prepare!

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this disease. We are a leading voice calling for support and action for research into what is called the last battleground against cancer.
