Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
A few months ago, just before Christmas, my best friend lost her Mum very suddenly. Anne was a talented dyslexia teacher who worked with many young people, and was heavily involved in The Dyslexia Association, a charity in Rutland. They provide support and services for dyslexic children and adults of all ages, with the aim of helping them reach their full potential. The charity do amazing work, even more so given they don't receive any government funding and so rely solely on donations.
On 3rd April I'll be tackling a half marathon in Richmond to raise money for this important cause. Any money we're able to raise will be used to support the helpline, which provides free advice and guidance to anyone with a concern about dyslexia, and to help test local children for learning difficulties - a crucial but expensive process that a lot of families aren't in a position to afford (and work in which Anne was particularly involved).
It would be brilliant if you could spare even a few pounds to donate, in memory of a truly lovely lady and to continue her wonderful work helping families get the guidance they need for their children.
Thank you
