Story
I am raising vital funds for The Clock Tower Sanctuary by asking for sponsorship to abseil down the i360... 500 ft above Brighton's coastline!
The thought of doing this absolutely terrifies me, but whilst my experience will be over in 3 - 4 minutes when my feet are back on the ground, there are numerous young homeless people in Brighton who face the terrifying thought of being without a home every single day.
The Clock Tower Sanctuary works with homeless young people in Brighton & Hove. They are the only day-centre in the city for 16-25-year olds who are homeless or insecurely housed. The Sanctuary opens six days a week, more than 300 days a year. At The Clock Tower Sanctuary, they know that no young person chooses to be homeless. They have usually fallen through the net due to family or other relationship breakdown. They provide the vital practical and emotional support these vulnerable young people need to get back on their feet, whilst also offering washing and laundry facilities, hot meals, confidence-building activities and support with accessing health services, accommodation, training and work.
