Story

My parents and I are challenging ourselves to walk 1,000,000 steps over 100 days to raise money for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Their support for bereaved families provides a lifeline for many in their darkest hours, and their vital research aims to prevent any other parent from experiencing the heartbreak of losing their baby.

Every step will be in memory of our precious son and grandson, Noah Holdsworth, and January O'Smith, the baby daughter of my wonderful friend.

Noah was born sleeping on 3rd February 2023 at 39 weeks following a 'textbook' easy pregnancy. His heart suddenly stopped beating with no warning, and sadly no reason was found for why Matt and I didn't get to bring our baby boy home.

Our hope in supporting Sands is that one day there will be enough knowledge about the causes of stillbirth and neonatal death to make sure no other family has to join this awful club. Until then, the charity does an amazing job providing help and support to those who do find themselves here.

Every donation you make means so much. Thank you, from the Holdsworths and Gargraves x
