Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm running The London Marathon on October 2nd 2022, raising money for the British Heart Foundation and I'd be so grateful for your support.
In May 2016, aged 50, my father suffered a heart attack. He was fortunate enough to receive early, expert care and attention and is enjoying life as a much-treasured active and very involved grandad to my three nieces and nephews.
This year, the newborn baby of a close friend of mine spent several weeks of her first few months in hospital, undergoing investigations to try and stabilise a congenital heart murmur. She is now back home and thriving as a happy, healthy, determined little girl.
The BHF funds research into life-threatening conditions affecting people of all ages, from all walks of life. These two stories are just a small glimpse into the multitude of heart and circulatory conditions for which they fund research to find new treatments and discover new cures.
£24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target. Thanks!
