Story
On the 6th of May I have managed to get myself involved with trying to run Litchfield’s half marathon - but all in aid of a very good cause, Sarcoma UK!
I shall be running in memory of Irena Blackburn, Chad’s mom, who we sadly lost in October 2011 to a very rare form of cancer - Sarcoma.
Sarcoma is a cancer of the bones or soft tissue and effects around 3200 people each year. Sarcoma UK is a charity whose aim is to achieve the best possible standard of treatment and care for its patients though the funding of research into causes and treatments, raising awareness and delivering support to those affected.
Having seen the effects that such a terrible cancer can have on a person and on family and friends surrounding them, raising as much money as possible to give hope and support to other families is the least I can do.
So I please ask, if you can donate ANYTHING you can to support the hard work of this charity to give hope to other families going through similar situations it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support - Sophie xXx
