Story
Well for some unknown reason or another, I agreed to take on the Trailwalker again! I think mainly because the South Downs are so goddam nice. I did it in 2017 in just over 21 hours through burning sunshine (I'm ginger, yes I did get very burnt!) through to torrential rain and hailstones at 2am in the morning. Anyone that saw my feet will know some blisters were bigger than my actual toes and after a day of lying on the sofa, I stupidly returned to work where every movement was conducted with a squeal or groan. Stepping off the train after sitting for 45 mins needed more mental preparation than going into Willy Wonka's chocolate factory whilst on a diet and a heavy reliance on the hand rail.
BUT everyone loves a challenge including myself particularly one where the team is trying to beat our previous time. I have maintained my traditional approach of events like this by not training at all and my completion of such things is done by good old fashioned sheer Crathern stubborness and a mentality of 'JUST KEEP GOING'.
My team has got to raise £1400 between four of us, so only £350 each. I have been horrifically disorganised with my 2019 life so I am now on the fundraising mission. Donations no matter how big or small are much appreciated :) xxx
