Story
Hi there and thank you for visiting my just giving page,
I just thought you would like to know why I'm running the London marathon for cancer research. In May of 2012 my fiancé Donny was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer at the age of just 32, after receiving radiotherapy he was a lot better, but just 3 months later we found out it had spread to his liver and his lungs and then it was labelled as "in-curable". As you can imagine we didn't take this very well, what makes him special is that he only looks forward and his out look on life has totally changed. He lives for the moment, has no regrets and has accepted what is happening to him. During his break from chemotherapy in July of 2013 my Dad passed away from small cell lung cancer, which he only diagnosed only just a few months prior. We never saw his diagnosis coming and it all happened very fast and it was such an incredible shock to everyone I can't even begin to describe the emotions we still going through. So our family has been through a war with this awful disease, to top it all off in the January of 2014 my fiancé was then diagnosed that the cancer had further spread his spine. He still looks for the positives and lives everyday to the full, he is an inspiration to many and will never hesitate to help anyone in need.
I want to do this not just for him or my dad but for everyone with cancer, whatever I can do to help I will. Without cancer research UK we have no chance! The more money we raise whether you donate a £1 or whatever you can afford would be gratefully appreciated! It's for a great cause.
Donny and an old friend have started a page on facebook called do it for Donny, it is a fund raising page/community so please come and see, like, post, mention, or even email, and in any way we can help we will try. I don't want bore you any more so I will just say....
Thank you again and much love to you all xxx
P.s the picture left to to right is my father, my nephew, and Donny, so you can see the original inspiration for me to this amazing event.
