We are the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and we're leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK.

Story

My beautiful brother Jonny took his own life at the end of September this year. He was the kindest, funniest, silliest, most talented and generous man who was loved by everyone who met him and yet inside he obviously thought the world would be a better place without him.

His death has shattered my world and the worlds of everyone else who was close to him, and it was so senseless and so preventable. The stigma around mental health needs to stop. We've made great strides but it's only gotten so far and past a certain point people still feel that they can't admit what they're going through.

If we can stop even just one other person from reaching the point where they feel they have no option but to take their own life it will be a huge thing, so instead of flowers for his funeral (he wasn't really a flowers guy anyway) we're asking for donations to CALM in his memory.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. Anyone can hit crisis point. CALM run a free and confidential helpline and webchat 7 hours a day, 7 days a week for anyone who needs to talk about lifes problems.
