Story

Sadly Sophie Atay passed away after she lost her 12-month battle with cancer. Two-year-old Sophie, from Birtley, Gateshead, began her fight for life after she was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in February last year. Her plight captured the hearts of the nation, including music mogul Simon Cowell, and sparked a huge fundraising drive to raise £500,000 for specialist treatment in New York. If you would like to make a donation on this page in memory of Lilablu The 2Simple Trust will use it to help support other children with Neuroblastoma. Thank you.
Sophie Atay Appeal

Sophie Atay was born fit and healthy on 15 November 2007 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear. One day whilst drying Sophie after her usual bath her mother felt a lump on the left side of her tummy. After numerous and frustrating hospital visits over a 10 day period Sophie was diagnosed with neuroblastoma stage 4 (high risk) on Monday 16 February 2009. Sophie's family are now looking to raise funds to take her to the Memorial Slone Kettering Hospital in New York for treatment.  For more information about Sophie's appeal, and how you can help, please see http://www.sophie-appeal.org/.

Donating online is the quickest and most efficient way to support Sophie’s Appeal , but if you need to send a cheque or postal order, please make it payable to “The 2Simple Trust” and send it to:
