Story
1 women dies at the hands of a man every 3 days in the UK. Sadly, all too often we hear of the shocking events such as the murder of Ashling Murphy or Sarah Everard. Sexual abuse, harassment and intimidation is thrown at us every single day ... in nightclubs, in shops, on trains, on a run. I'd struggle to name a female friend or family member that hasn't been harassed in some way. Why should we as women not feel safe to walk the streets at night, or in daylight as it seems.
On the 10th April, my Dad and I will be running 26.2 miles in the Brighton Marathon, raising money for Rosa's Stand With Us fund, to help protect women against male violence. I'll be running for all the women who have suffered, all the victims and all the survivors. I'll be running to #reclaimthestreets. Any donations will be greatly appreciated for this worthy cause, so please #StandWithUs and make the UK a safer place for all women.
