Eight years ago, I lost my mum to breast cancer. Grief Encounter helped me to meet other children that also lost a parent or loved one. This really helped me to understand that my dad and I were not alone and that many people had experienced similar events. I would now like to help others by raising money for this great charity!

On Saturday 25th March 2023, which would have been my late mum Shenifa’s 44th birthday, I will be walking 10km in her memory.

100% of the funds raised will go towards supporting bereaved children and young people who have experienced the death of someone close.
