In June 2013 I will be taking part in a once in a lifetime charity cycle, covering over 300KM around the island of Zanzibar.

My team and I are raising money for the Health Improvement Project Zanzibar (HIPZ) to develop Makunduchi and Kivunge Hospitals. The current healthcare system is in desperate need of our help and every donation can and will make a difference to the lives of the 200,000 locals. The stats are shocking - did you know:

The current life expectancy in Zanzibar is just 47 years old

One in every 180 women die during the delivery of their child due to poor healthcare

1 in 6 children die under the age of 7, with the majority dying when aged less than 2 years old.

 

These shocking statistics can all be improved with just a little help from us!
