Story
This year, we're celebrating the NHS' 75th Birthday by raising money for a priority project across North Wales. As the ward manager of hydref ward, myself and the team are raising funds to improve the ward for our patients. We are a 13 bedded older persons functional mental health ward in Wrexham. We look after people 65 years old and over who are struggling with depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorder, OCD, BDD, psychosis, cognitive impairment and dementia to name a few.
Some of our staff are taking part in the zip wire event in snowdonia on 5th July (me included and I’m terrified!) whilst others are taking part in a bake off competition for our tea party on July 7th in which staff patients families carers and friends will be invited for afternoon tea on the ward
Every £1 will make a difference so please give whatever you can so we can improve our therapeutic environment and activities
