Sophie's Just Keep Swimming Challenge

Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation in memory of my Dad and I'd be so grateful for your support ❤.
My amazing Dad, Peter Beckley, had the kindest heart. He left this earth far too early leaving a gaping 6'4 hole in our lives.
Having undergone 3 open heart surgeries, he had a strong heart too but passed away suddenly on 20th January 2022. It was a month before his 60th birthday.
He was the most incredible Husband, Dad, Grandad, Uncle, Friend and bad ass electrician- he was literally the brightest bulb in the room.
We do not want any other family to have to go through what we are going through so I am raising money for the British Heart Foundation so they can continue their heart research, create new treatments and discover new cures ❤. They are aiming to beat heartbreak forever.
But you know that I'm going to be working hard for those donations!!!
In September I have two 10km swims that I am currently training for...
Swim #1 -
Event: Dock2Dock (London)
Distance: 10k
Date: 3rd September 2022
Swim #2 -
Event: The Big Brutal Swim (Snowdonia)
Distance: 10k
Date: 11th September 2022
Outdoor swimming has and will continue to help me cope with losing my Dad. He was there for me during my Wild Wye swim and I could hear him cheering me on from the sidelines, even when I wanted to give up. Whilst he won't be with me physically this time, he will be in my heart pushing me to keep running and swimming.
Did you know? £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
Thanks in advance for your support.
P.s. even if you do not donate today go and give your Dad a hug (if you can).
