This has got to be the biggest challenge I have undertaken in my lifetime - so far! 5 marathons in 5 days at first seemed impossible when my team mate introduced the idea to me but I have been running for years, I have done marathons before and I am too stubborn and stupid to give up so I know that I will be able to do this - EVEN IF IT KILLS ME!

So why am I doing this crazy thing you ask yourselves. It is simply this; hearing news of soldiers being killed and injured on the frontline has become commonplace and it's so easy to forget what they are doing out there, it seems a million miles away from our safe enviroment. 

We will remember those who have fallen and their families who made the ultimate sacrifice and we need to help those who have been badly injured - their battle still goes on. I am running for a cause that most of us hold close to their hearts and I want you to show your support by sponsering me. It's not just one marathon, it's five across rugged, hilly and sometimes hellish terrain through all weathers.

The race is called the Forces March and you can visit their website http://www.forcesmarch.org.uk/ if you would like more information. In a nutshell the race starts in Ilfracombe on the 25th May and ends in Bulford Camp on Sunday 29th May.
