I am sure you are all bored and tired of being asked for money for this charity and for that charity but I have turned to you- my friends, colleagues and family for a little bit of help for those who aren't as lucky as us. To put what I am about to say in context, please have a little look at the website below:

Who would have thought hey, me running the Great North Run!!!?? Think back to say about five years ago and try to imagine that, hmmmm!  Well as I am running, I thought it fitting to race for Guide Dogs.  An interesting charity choice you may think esp with all those deserving causes out there.  However, think about what life would be like without your eyes...?  Pretty frightening hey.

Now think about how those guide dogs enable people's lives to carry on and carry on with happiness and relative ease.  Children, adults, ex-forces members and people from all other walks of life are helped by their loved furry friends.  So with all that in mind, I would like to give this charity as much money that I can raise.  I understand that these are hard times but if you can spare anything at all to help, you can rest assured it will go a long way..... I promise photos of me crawling over the finish line....
